Sr. Graphic Artist
Retail product and packaging design, graphic print production, and prepress specialist
Prepress
Advanced digital and offset printing preparation
As a seasoned graphic artist, I have been working in the prepress realm of print production since 2019. I am an advanced operator in printing preparation, proofing, print color management, platemaking, die making, print project management, and print scheduling in a growing manufacturing setting.
I have been solely managing my company's prepress department since 2021, and have worked to advance our manufacturing and printing capabilities with the introduction of state-of-the-art prepress software, advanced color management processes, offset press color calibration, and more efficient print impositions.
In the spring of 2021, I was fortunate to experience the installation of an additional high speed offset press, and personally orchestrated the corresponding software upgrades and training necessary to pivot into a retail package manufacturing facility.
Graphic Production
14+ years of industry experience and a life-long creative
Three years into my latest graphic production artist role, I advanced as a leader within a niche market developing within my company's digital print department.
Along came retail packaging mock-ups! The greatest learning experience of my career. During this experience I was able to work hands-on with the fabrication of prototype retail packaging samples for corporate line reviews, new product launches, salesperson product kits, and internet influencer kits for several well know national brands, and formed the foundation for my retail packaging knowledge that I build upon today.
Leadership
Company, team, and print
project leadership
My latest avenues of personal growth revolve around my most recent continuing education endeavor. In early 2023, I began and completed a self-paced online Women in Leadership course at the famed Ashland University. For the entirety of the year I also participated as a Content Advisor for this course by invitation from the University. I attended regular meetings throughout the year and participated in providing real world feedback into the development of
the course material.
Applying what I gleaned from the course, and my daily print shop experiences to my current position, I have recently been invited by my company's ownership group to participate in the company's Leadership Growth Meetings for 2024, and beyond. I have been asked to provide my input and energy into the growth and development of the future of the company and have started developing new cumulative company goals.
Customer Service
Build the strongest team to drive our customer care
I have an opportunity every single day to do something great for my customers, directly or indirectly. I participate in direct customer care for all of my art proofing and print project management. Indirectly, I work very hard to ensure that every project that passes through my team has been met with great care and effort to produce the best possible outcome for all projects, large or small.
My team is my greatest asset, and I strive to treat them like they are my first customers. This affords them greater security and encouragement to be the best that they can be.
